SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's volleyball team picked up a pair of victories after two five-set thrillers at the AHC Quad event, hosted at the Joe White Memorial Gymnasium, on Saturday.
The Bulldogs are set to return to action at home on Wednesday, September 17th, for a non-conference showing against Glendale College. That match is slated to begin at 6 PM.
Match 1 — Hancock 3, Clovis 2
Set scores: 25–20, 15–25, 25–17, 23–25, 15–10 | BOX SCORE
- Emma Olney: 16 kills, 14 digs, 2 aces, 2 BA (19.0 pts)
- Kaitlyn Vongvone: 25 assists, 18 digs, 5 aces
- Back-row leaders: Morgan Doss 18 digs, Jordyn Thomas 18 digs
- Team: 13 aces, 89 digs, 4.0 team blocks
How it happened: Hancock set the tone with first-contact defense and service pressure, using Vongvone's five aces and late siding-out in the fifth to close the opener.
Match 2 — Hancock 3, Coalinga 2

- Doss: 26 digs, 3 aces

How it happened: After racing to a 2–0 lead, the Bulldogs steadied in extras of the fifth, leaning on Doss's floor coverage and clutch swings from Olney and Ware to seal the nightcap.
