The Bulldogs (6-7-8, 5-4-3 WSC) controlled long stretches of play, out-shooting the Cougars (3-13-1, 2-9-1 WSC) 18–8 and piling up a 6–1 edge in corner kicks. Raquel Schmid and Ruby Graciliano pressed the back line throughout—Schmid led all players with five shots (two on frame) and Graciliano added three attempts with two on target—while Angela Gonzalez peppered four more efforts from distance.
In goal, the Hancock tandem of Sam Patchin (first 15 minutes) and Alexia Medina (final 75) combined for the shutout behind five saves and an organized back. Cuesta's keeper was busy, recording 11 saves to keep the hosts within striking distance, but the Bulldogs' shape and game management in the second half sealed the clean sheet.
Hancock, who has a bye this Friday, currently ranks fourth in the league standings and is on the bubble for the RPI rankings that determine playoff qualifiers. Any possible postseason announcements are anticipated to be made by the 3C2A office on Monday, November 17th.
