SANTA MARIA, Calif. — The Allan Hancock College baseball team swept Oxnard College in a three-game series this week, outscoring the Condors 27-2 across three dominant performances to improve to 21-7 on the season and 10-2 in conference play.
Game 1 – Hancock 9, Oxnard 2 | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs opened the series on the road Monday with a 9-2 victory behind a strong outing from Gustavo Crawford.
Crawford earned the win, tossing six innings while allowing just one earned run on four hits and striking out four. Brycen Hurtado closed things out with three innings of relief to secure his second save of the season.
Offensively, Chase Wise provided the big blow — a two-run home run that helped blow the game open. Jacob McMillan drove in two runs and collected three hits to pace the Bulldog lineup, while Parker Schwake and Josue Garcia each chipped in an RBI as well.
Game 2 – Hancock 11, Oxnard 0 | BOX SCORE
Hancock returned home Thursday and put together a dominant showing, handing Oxnard an 11-0 shutout at John Osborne Field.
Ryan Cronk continued his standout season, tossing five shutout innings and striking out five to improve to 8-1 on the year. Omar Reynoso followed with two scoreless frames, and Trevor Jure and Hunter Beck each added a clean inning to finish off the shutout.
Braden Oliver was the offensive star of the day, going 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs. Parker Schwake added two hits and two doubles, while Jacob McMillan drove in two more runs to extend his productive series. Landon Mabery contributed a double and two RBIs, and Trent Martin added an RBI of his own.
Game 3 – Hancock 7, Oxnard 0 | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs wrapped up the sweep Saturday in Oxnard with a 7-0 shutout, getting a gem from Seth Tedeschi on the mound.
Tedeschi was untouchable, going seven innings and striking out nine without issuing a walk. Nathan Coffey and Gabriel Moralez combined for the final two innings to seal the shutout.
Braden Oliver again led the way offensively, going 3-for-5 with four RBIs for the second time in the series. Trent Martin doubled and drove in two, and La'akea Ko capped the scoring with an RBI of his own. Jacob McMillan continued his strong series, adding two more hits.
The Bulldogs return to action Tuesday, March 31 at 2 p.m. when they host Santa Barbara City College.
