Bulldogs Crush Southwestern 12-4 For Second Straight Victory
Four Bulldogs scored two or more goals, and goalies Kaitlyn McNeil and Kinsley Edman combined to make 15 saves as the Allan Hancock College women's water polo team crushed visiting Southwestern 12-4 on Friday afternoon at the Paul Nelson Aquatic Center.
Bianca McNeil, Rebecca Gonzalez and Nikki Gurgiolo scored three goals each, while Nayeli Martinez Campos fired two to the back of the cage in the victory. The Bulldogs won their second straight game to improve to 3-4 overall.
Hancock led 7-3 after three periods before outscoring Southwestern 5-1 in the final period.
Hancock heads to a tournament hosted by Santa Barbara City College for two games on Saturday, October 31. The Bulldogs face Santa Barbara at 10:10 a.m. in a conference game before battling Saddleback at 2:30 p.m.
The Bulldogs will finish the regular season at home on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 3 p.m. against Santa Monica in a Western State Conference contest.
