Bulldogs Roll, 3-0, in Shortened Contest with Oxnard
SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's soccer team picked up a 3-0 Western State Conference (North) victory over Oxnard College at home on Tuesday afternoon. The match was halted late in the second half due to injuries for the visiting side; per match rules, 70+ minutes had been played, leading to the determination that the result and statistics stand. | BOX SCORE
From the outset, Hancock (4-5-8, 3-2-3) controlled possession and dictated the tempo. The home squad peppered Oxnard's (1-13-0, 0-7-0) back line with attacks, earning nine corner kicks and outshooting the Condors 20–0. Janeth Davalos put AHC on the board in the 14th minute after converting a feed from Summer Alcantar to open the scoring, which led to a 1-0 advantage at the intermission.
In the second half, the Bulldogs doubled their advantage in the 56th as Natalya Ando-Pineda finished a crisp pass from Symphony Lozano. Just over ten minutes later, Ruby Graciliano added an unassisted strike to push the lead to 3–0, effectively sealing the result before play was halted.
Goalkeeper Sam Patchin earned the shutout without facing a shot on goal, while Angela Gonzalez anchored the defense and served as a frequent set-piece taker, delivering multiple corners and narrowly missing on a pair of chances that struck the post and crossbar.
Next up for the women's team is a road trip to Ventura College for another conference battle on Friday, October 31st.
