WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's soccer team fought to secure a 1-1 road draw at LA Pierce College in a Western State Conference (North) showdown at Shepard Stadium on Tuesday evening. | BOX SCORE
The hosting Brahmas (1-0-1, 4-3-2) got on the board first in the 52nd minute, but AHC leveled the match 16 minutes later when AJ Diaz buried a penalty kick to secure the 1-1 score line that held through the final whistle. Goalkeeper Sam Patchin had a busy day in the box for the Bulldogs (1-4-6, 0-1-1), recording 11 saves—four before halftime and seven after—to preserve the point.
Allan Hancock limited the Brahmas despite sustained pressure as the host outshot the travelling squad at a 14-4 clip. Angela Gonzalez registered the Bulldogs' lone shot on goal from open play in the second half, forcing a save in the 59th minute.
Up next for the AHC crew is a road trip to Oxnard College on Friday, October 3rd, at 4 PM.
