TAFT, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's soccer team rode a sensational hat trick from Raquel Schmid to a 3–3 result on the road against Taft College in a non-conference showdown last Friday. | BOX SCORE
The hosting Cougars broke open the scoring early after netting a shot in the 8th minute of action before Schmid scored an equalizer in the 23rd with an assist by Janeth Davalos. Schmid added two more tallies on either side of the halftime intermission - scoring once in the 45th and again in the 50th - as Hancock generated pressure all afternoon with 11 shots on-goal and a 5-0 edge in corner kicks. Goalkeepers Sam Patchin (seven second-half saves) and Alexia Medina (five first-half saves) combined for 12 stops.
The Bulldogs are set to return to action on Tuesday, September 16th, with a road trip to Hartnell College for another non-conference matchup.
