Rob Senior Named WSC Women's Golf Coach of the Year
SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Allan Hancock College women's golf head coach, Rob Senior, has been recognized by his peers as the Western State Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Bulldogs through a monumental season.
Coach Senior is currently serving in his third season at the helm of the program. During his tenure, Senior has revived the program and raised the bar for the Bulldogs. Since his appointment in 2023, Hancock has seen multiple athletes qualify for postseason action, with two individuals landing on the All-Conference list and one moving on to compete at the four-year level.
Prior to this season, Senior led three individuals who represented AHC at the Southern California Regional Championship event while one advanced to the state finals for the first time since 2005. Under his direction this fall, Senior guided the program to a team qualification at the regional event before seeing the Bulldogs move on to the big stage as a unit - both of which are historic program-first appearances.
The Bulldogs are set to close out the season by competing at the 3C2A Women's Golf State Championships, which will take place at Alisal Ranch (River Course), on November 16-17.
