Bulldogs Take Runner-Up Slot at WSC #6
ENCINO, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's golf team collected another runner-up finish at the sixth Western State Conference tournament of the season, hosted at the Encino Golf Course, on Monday afternoon.
As a team, Hancock posted a final score of 355, finishing behind the undefeated College of the Canyons (331) and narrowly ahead of Santa Barbara City College (356).
Zan McGovern continued to lead the pack of freshman competitors for the Bulldogs as one of the top women's golfers in the conference. She shot a 78 on the day, placing her in a two-way tie for third. Ally Price and Kaitlin Acosta followed in 10th after carding 92 apiece.
Up next for the program is a trip to Bakersfield College on Monday, Oct. 20. Tee time is scheduled for 11 a.m. from Rio Bravo Country Club.
