NEXT LEVEL: Moncerat Campos Heading to Alverno College

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Allan Hancock College women's basketball guard, Moncerat Campos, will join fellow teammate Anastasia Drolette at Alverno College next season. 

"I chose Alverno College because it felt like a place where I could continue to grow, both academically and athletically. As someone who is passionate about psychology and helping others, I felt that Alverno's values and supportive environment aligned perfectly with my future goals," Campos stated. "From the moment that I connected with the people at Alverno and learned more about the campus community, I knew that it was a place where I would be challenged, supported, and empowered to become the best version of myself both on and off the court."

The redshirt freshman product from Lompoc wrapped up her first year of competition, and second overall with the Bulldogs, in February. Campos was a fixture in the Bulldogs' lineup last season, starting 25 of 27 games while leading the team in both total rebounds (131) and minutes played (642). She averaged 4.9 rebounds per contest, providing a consistent presence on the glass throughout the season.

"My time at Allan Hancock College prepared me for the next level by pushing me to grow in every aspect of my life. As a student-athlete, I learned how to balance academics, basketball, work, and personal responsibilities while remaining committed to my goals. AHC challenged me mentally and physically, helping me become more resilient, disciplined, and confident in myself," Campos added. "The lessons and experiences I gained during my time here shaped me into a stronger person and have prepared me for the opportunities ahead. I am incredibly grateful for my coaches, teammates, and mentors who supported me throughout this journey and helped me believe in myself."

The Inferno are a Division III member of the NCAA and compete in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
