Lady Bulldogs Come Up Short in Close Battle with Oxnard
SANTA MARIA, Calif. — The Allan Hancock College women's basketball team battled down to the final minutes but came up just short in a closely contested matchup against Oxnard College. | BOX SCORE
Hancock was led by Bree Luna, who turned in a strong all-around performance with 15 points and nine rebounds, anchoring the Bulldogs on both ends of the floor. Iraya Bell-Jackson also finished in double figures with 13 points, providing timely scoring as Hancock remained within striking distance throughout the game.
Despite the loss, the Bulldogs showed resilience and composure in a game that featured multiple momentum swings and remained undecided until late.
Hancock returns to action Wednesday at home at 7pm for its annual Coaches vs. Cancer game, an event dedicated to raising awareness and support in the fight against cancer.
