Bulldogs Earn First Win of the Season, Top Cerritos 48–44 in Toys for Tots Finale
SANTA MARIA, Calif. — Allan Hancock College women's basketball broke through in a big way on Saturday afternoon, grinding out a 48–44 victory over Cerritos to close out the annual Toys for Tots Tournament on a high note. The win marks the Bulldogs' first victory of the 2025–26 season as Hancock wrapped the three-day event with a 1–2 tournament record.

In a game defined by defensive discipline and timely shot-making, Hancock held Cerritos to just three points in the third quarter and outscored the Falcons 14–8 in the fourth to secure the comeback win. The Bulldogs forced 18 turnovers and converted them into 23 points off turnovers, a decisive swing in a tightly contested matchup.
Freshman Iraya Bell-Jackson paced Hancock with 12 points on 4-of-11 shooting from deep, while Bree Luna provided a major spark off the bench with 11 points and three steals. Daviana Chavez added nine points and two assists, and Sophonnie Felix contributed seven points and five boards as the Bulldogs' bench unit delivered 27 total points, outscoring Cerritos' reserves 27–0.
The win capped Hancock's 1–2 showing at the Toys for Tots Tournament and marked a step forward after a tough start to the season. The Bulldogs now turn to the rest of their non-conference schedule with their first victory on the board and a clearer sense of how they want to play.
