The Allan Hancock College women's basketball team came out flat and never recovered in a 71-62 loss to Modesto to open the West Hills-Lemoore Golden Eagle Classic on Friday.
The Bulldogs, who were coming off a third place finish at their annual Lady Bulldog Classic, dropped to 8-4 on the season. Modesto evened its record at 4-4.
Hancock returns to action on Saturday at 2 p.m. against LA Southwest (2-7), which fell to the host Golden Eagles 71-57 on Friday.
Ali Rodriguez led the Bulldogs with 20 points, while Justine Roland added 19 points.
