GOOLD POWERS UP AT SANTA BARBARA SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT
SANTA BARBARA-- Regina Goold hit three home runs in four games as the Allan Hancock College softball posted a 1-3 record at the Santa Barbara City College Softball Tournament.
Hancock (7-28, 1-10 WSC North) dropped two games on Saturday in heartbreaking fashion. College of the Desert scored in the final inning to defeated AHC, 3-2. In the second game, East L.A. pulled out a 7-6 victory in the late innings.
Goold powered up in the Sunday morning game, smacking a three-run HR in the second inning, to lead the Bulldogs to a, 12-2 win over L.A. Mission. Julie Ortiz and Jenelle Nunez had two hits apiece in the win. In the tourney finale, Goold hit a solo HR, which would be the only run AHC would score in an, 8-1 loss to L.A. Valley.
The Bulldogs play a home game against Santa Barbara on Tuesday, Apr. 12 at 2:30 p.m.
