SOFTBALL SWEPT BY SANTA BARBARA
SANTA BARBARA-- Santa Barbara City College took both ends of doubleheader over the Allan Hancock College softball team, 11-3, 4-0, in a Western State Conference match-up.
Hancock (5-19, 0-4 WSC North) fell behind early in each game and could not recover. In game one, Santa Barbara scored four runs in the first and scored a single run in the third, to build up a 5-0 lead. AHC scored in the fourth when Regina Goold hit a two-run home run. Goold ended the game with two hits, while catcher Vanessa Acevedo three hits, including a double.
In game two, Jenelle Nunez had three of Hancock's five hits. Stacey Davis hit a double in the game.
The Bulldogs will host L.A. Pierce on Thursday, Mar. 31, with a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m. AHC was scheduled next to play Moorpark. The Raiders were forced to forfeit the rest of their games, when they were unable to field a team due to injuries.
