SOFTBALL DROPS PAIR AT GROSSMONT

EL CAJON-- The Allan Hancock College women's softball team played in two games at Grossmont College Saturday, losing to San Diego Mesa, 4-1, and Grossmont, 11-1.

Hancock (2-10), scored in the first game when Angela Martinez (Fr., Santa Maria HS) tripled in Stacey Davis (Fr., Santa Maria), who had drawn a walk. Vanessa Acevedo (Fr., Righetti HS) singled three times in game one.

Against Grossmont, Davis had an RBI single. Martinez, Davis and Veronica Gonzalez (Fr., Santa Maria) all had a hit in the game.

Hancock will return to Western State Conference action on Tuesday, as the Bulldogs host L.A. Mission at 2:30 p.m.
