WOMEN'S SOFTBALL STUMBLES ON THE ROAD

VAN NUYS - The Allan Hancock College women's softball team suffered a defeat on the road, losing to L.A. Valley in a Western State Conference cross-over game, 18-0.

The Bulldogs (2-6) committed four errors to help the Monarchs, who belted out 16 hits in a five-inning mercy rule decision.

Veronica Gonzalez (Fr., Santa Maria HS) and Brenna Mackeprang (So., Righetti HS) had the Hancock hits.

Hancock plays another conference cross-over game on Thursday, Feb. 17, at the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
