SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's soccer team turned in a gritty defensive performance but came up just short in a 1–0 conference loss to Santa Barbara City College on Tuesday afternoon at home. | BOX SCORE
The lone goal of the day came midway through the first half as the Bulldogs (4-9-5, 0-5-1) were unable to find an equalizer despite several second-half pushes. The match's decisive moment arrived in the 23rd minute, giving the visiting Vaqueros (6-4-5, 2-1-2) a 1–0 lead that held through full time.
Allan Hancock responded by tightening defensively, with Max Brewster making two key second-half saves to keep the home team within striking distance. AHC's attack saw additional attempts from Caleb Toledo and Diego Santos, while the back line held strong under sustained pressure from SBCC.
The Bulldogs are scheduled to continue league action at home on Friday, October 31st, against LA Mission College.
