SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's soccer team secured a 1-1 draw against the visitors from College of the Sequoias at home on Friday afternoon in a non-conference contest. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs struck first midway through the opening half after Benny Nicolas buried a shot into the back of the net off a well-placed assist from Javier Villafan in the 28th minute, giving Hancock (1-1-1) a one-goal advantage. The home squad created multiple chances in the first frame, recording five shots and three corner kicks, while goalkeeper Max Brewster made two key saves to keep Sequoias off the board.
The Giants (0-0-2) managed to net the equalizer in the 61st minute. Despite AHC pressing forward with seven shots in the second half—including quality looks from Jared Moreno and Ronnie Ayala—the Bulldogs couldn't find a go-ahead goal. Brewster faced just one shot on target after the break, while the Hancock defense held firm to prevent further damage.
The Bulldogs will be back in action this afternoon on the road at Pasadena City College for a non-conference match that is set to begin at 1:30 PM.
