Glendale 4, Hancock 2
GLENDALE — The Vaqueros scored three times in an eight-minute span in the first half to defeat the Bulldogs in WSC play.
"We had a brain freeze," Hancock coach Al Garcia said. "We had defensive errors, a lack of marking. We can't afford to have those kinds of lapses (or) we'll be out of the (WSC) picture."
The Bulldogs (2-2 WSC) opened the scoring when Martin Burgos scored in the ninth minute on an assist from Nathan Nunez.
But Glendale scored three times between the 26th and 34th minutes to take a 3-1 lead into halftime.
Burgos scored again in the 47th minute on Zak Viker's assist to cut the lead to one goal, but the Vaqueros added one more goal later in the half to put the match away.
Hancock hosts Moorpark on Friday.
