Torres scores hat trick

MODESTO — Freshman Isaac Torres scored three times, and Tito Ponce added another as the Bulldogs improved to 2-0 with a non-conference victory over the Pirates.

Torres scored in the 10th minute on an assist from John Roth, and Ponce knocked in Nathan Nunez's free-kick rebound five minutes later for a 2-0 lead.

In the 23rd minute, Torres converted a pass from Billy Barbaree to extend the lead to 3-1.

Torres recorded the hat trick—and his fourth goal in two games—in the 82nd minute off a Zak Viker assist.

Hancock plays at Cabrillo College today at 4 p.m.
