Bulldogs Stay in Conference Contention with Win Over Cuesta
SANTA MARIA, Calif. — The Allan Hancock College men's basketball team earned a critical conference victory over Cuesta College on Wednesday night, keeping pace in the conference championship race with four games remaining. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs were led by Noah Morris, who delivered a strong all-around performance with 14 points and 11 rebounds, controlling the paint and anchoring Hancock on both ends of the floor. Morris' physical presence proved pivotal as the Bulldogs answered every Cuesta run.
Trenten Lavender provided a steady offensive spark, finishing with 13 points, including timely baskets that helped Hancock maintain momentum throughout the contest. Dasio Gonzales added 10 points and brought energy on both sides of the ball, contributing key minutes as the Bulldogs tightened their rotation late.
Hancock's defensive effort and late-game execution sealed the win, as the Bulldogs limited second-chance opportunities and closed the game out at the free-throw line. The disciplined performance reflected a team fully aware of what's at stake in the final stretch of conference play
The Bulldogs return to action Saturday on the road vs. LA Pierce at 3:00pm.
