Bio

Akinsanya returns to Hancock after an injury cut his last season short. Akinsanya averaged 3.4 points and three rebounds per game and shot 49 percent from the field as a freshman for Hancock in 2017-18. He scored a career-high 12 points against Cuesta College and grabbed a season-best nine rebounds against Oxnard. He earned All-CIF and All-league honors his senior season at Animo South Charter. He averaged 16 points and nine rebounds as a senior. His major at Hancock is kinesiology. His first dunk and his first high school game are his favorite sports memories. Akinsanya did not start playing basketball until his junior year of high school.
