NEXT LEVEL: Semaj Carmichael to Join McPherson Roster

MCPHERSON, Kan. - Allan Hancock College running back, Semaj Carmichael, will continue his academic and athletic career at McPherson College next season. 

"McPherson felt like the right place for me because of the coaching staff that they have and the opportunity for me to grow, both as a player and as a person. From the start of the recruiting process, the coaching staff showed me that they had confidence in me and created an environment where I felt supported," Carmichael shared. "I knew this would be a problem where I could compete, develop my game, and become a part of something special." 

Carmichael wrapped up his second season with AHC last fall after seeing limited playing time due to an injury. The sophomore from Philadelphia registered 361 rushing yards (90.3/game) and five touchdowns through four contests. As a freshman, he posted 213 rushing yards and scored three times through nine games. 

"My time at Hancock helped prepare me for the next level by teaching me discipline, accountability, and how to compete every day. Being around great coaches and teammates pushed me to improve both on and off the field," Carmichael added. "I've grown mentally and physically here, and I feel more prepared for the challenges and opportunities ahead."

The Bulldogs are a member of the NAIA and compete in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
