NEXT LEVEL: Makai Sat Heading to Iowa State University
AMES, Iowa - Allan Hancock College football offensive lineman, Makai Sat, has announced his commitment to join the Iowa State University roster next season.
"I chose Iowa State because I love the culture that they have created over there, and I really connected with the offensive line coach throughout the recruiting process. It has always been a dream of mine to play with a team of this caliber and to compete at such a high level," Sat shared.
Sat, a local product from St. Joseph High School, completed his second season with the Bulldogs in the fall. He served as a crucial piece to Hancock's offensive line this season, appearing in all 10 games while earning First Team All-League recognition. Sat leaves AHC with a two-time All-League resume after being named as a Second Team selection as a freshman.
"Going to Hancock helped me grow as both a player and a student. My family has a lot of connections to Hancock, and there is a big Polynesian community here that I was able to connect with," Sat added. "AHC was the perfect step in the journey for me right after high school. I was able to expand my skills and play against some of the toughest talent there is at the junior college level."
The Cyclones are a Division I member of the NCAA and compete in the Big 12 Conference.
