SHAMBLEE AND SLAUGHTER MOVE TO DIVISION ONE

SANTA MARIA--Trevor Shamblee and Michael Slaughter have signed letters of intent to attend NCAA Division I-A schools for the fall 2005 football seasons.

Shamblee (6-0, 205, LB, Jamaica Queens, NY) signed to play at Fresno State, where he will remain a Bulldog. Fresno is a member in the Western Athletic Conference. Slaughter (6-6, 250, DE, Lompoc HS) will attend Baylor University in Waco, TX. The Bears compete in the always rugged Big-12.

Coach Kris Dutra also announced that Luis Espinosa (6-6, 350, OL, Santa Maria HS) has already transferred to Eastern Oregon for the spring term. The Mountaineers are members of the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
