SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Allan Hancock College opened its series against LA Pierce with a strong performance on both sides of the ball, taking two of three games to secure the series win.
Game 1 | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs' offense set the tone early behind a balanced attack. La'akea Ko paced the lineup with three hits, while Josue Garcia drove in three runs. Cesar Garcia added two RBIs on a single. On the mound, the bullpen was flawless, tossing five scoreless innings of relief. Brycen Hurtado earned the win as Hancock cruised to the series-opening victory.
Game 2 | BOX SCORE
Despite the top four hitters in the lineup being held hitless, the Bulldogs still scratched out eight hits and found timely production. Jacob McMillan delivered two doubles and drew a walk, while Dylan Swanson collected two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs. Ryan Cronk picked up his fifth win of the season, and the bullpen duo of Brady Birdsong and Gage Mattis closed the door without allowing another run. Mattis earned the save as Hancock clinched the series.
Game 3 | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs dropped the finale, 7–1, as the offense struggled to find consistent momentum. Ko sparked a rally with a leadoff triple in the sixth inning, and Garcia brought home the tying run with a sacrifice fly. Pierce responded immediately with five runs, highlighted by three bunt hits, to pull away late and salvage the final game.
The Bulldogs return to action on March 3rd, with another conference series at Moorpark College.
