Bulldog Football Beat Seahawks 50-44
The Allan Hancock College Bulldogs beat Los Angeles Harbor 50-44 on Saturday, Oct. 6.
The Bulldogs are now 4-1 overall and 1-0 in conference after beating the 7th ranked Seahawks. Hancock was ranked 6th headed into the game. Five Bulldogs got on the board Saturday night. Cameron Artis-Payne scored three touchdowns, a 10-yard run, a five yard run and an 84 yard run with only a minute and 45 seconds left in the game. He has moved to number one in the state in scoring with 14 touchdowns and top in rushing yards per game with 198.2.
Ryan Masters scored twice for the Bulldogs, off of an eight yard pass in the first quarter and a 13-yard pass in the second. Peter Berry scored a touchdown off of a 37-yard run in the third and Cameron Rogers caught a 73-yard touchdown pass from Brandon Jeffries in the fourth quarter. Lineman Steven Swenk also got on the board after the Bulldog's extra point kick was blocked and Swenk retrieved the ball and took into the end zone for a two-point conversion.
On defense, Colin Hodges had 12 total sacks and Bryan Aiwohi was right behind him with 11.5. Masson Blow and Darryl Smith each had an interception. Blow ran his for a gain of 19 yards.
The Bulldogs are on the road next Saturday, Oct. 13 against 12th ranked Cerritos.
