Erik Kinnebrew becomes the first Hancock student-athlete to win back-to-back Bulldog Athlete of the Week awards. The freshman was named to the All-Tournament Team of a Cuesta Tournament after he recorded the program's first triple-double in recent memory. Kinnebrew set career highs with 21 points, 17 rebounds, 14 assists and four steals during the Bulldogs' 103-96 win over El Camino on the final day of the tournament.

Week 16 (12/26-1/1) Erik Kinnebrew, Men's Basketball: Kinnebrew secured his first career double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds, both career highs, to help Hancock men's basketball edge L.A. Pierce 72-69 in overtime during the semifinals of Hancock's Holiday Classic. The freshman averaged 10 points, 9.7 rebounds and five assists over three games to help the Bulldogs win the Holiday Classic championship. He was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
Week 15 (12/12-12/18) Syenna Ramirez, Women's Basketball: Ramirez secured her first Athlete of the Week award of the season by averaging 17.7 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists per game for the Bulldogs during their second-place finish at the Monterey Classic. The sophomore scored a season-high 23 points to go with rebounds, four assists and three steals during Hancock's 29-point win over Lassen in the semifinals. Hancock lost to Siskiyous, the No. 5 team in California, in the championship game 80-58.
Week 14 (12/5-12/11) Destinee Garcia, Women's Basketball: Garcia earned her second-double of the season with 12 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals in the women's basketball team's 64-36 win over Barstow. She added a season-best 17 points, seven rebounds and two swipes in Hancock's 65-54 victory over L.A. Harbor the following day. The sophomore averaged 14.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game during Hancock's 2-0 run during the Lady Bulldog Classic.
Week 13 (11/28-12/4) Grace Rosa, Women's Basketball: Rosa averaged 14.3 points and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after helping the Bulldogs capture the championship at the Phillips 66 Invitational for the second straight year. In the opener, the freshman scored 19 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for her second double-double of the season in Hancock's 58-45 win over American River, the 14th ranked team in the Northern California Preseason Coaches Poll. The Paso Robles High School graduate Rosa erupted for 16 points in the second half to finish with 18 points and seven rebounds in the championship game against Cuesta.
Week 12 (11/14-11/20) Kevawn Lord, Men's Basketball: Lord recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the men's basketball team's 72-52 victory over Napa Valley College to open Hancock's Home Motors Invitational. The sophomore transfer is averaging 9.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game for the Bulldogs.
Week 11 (11/7-11/13) Jajuan Lankford, Football: Lankford continued his recent dominant stretch at running back for the Bulldogs. he rushed for 166 yards on 24 carries and scored one touchdown in Hancock's 30-16 win over Citrus to end the season. The freshman finished the year with 100+ yards rushing in the final three games of the season, including a season-high 171 yards in the Bulldogs' win over Antelope Valley. Lankford led the Bulldogs this season with 749 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.
Week 10 (10/31-11/6) Jorge Guzman, Men's Soccer and Destinee Garcia, Women's Basketball: Guzman and Garcia shared the honor for Athlete of the Week. Guzman scored twice in the men's soccer team's 5-3 conference loss to Santa Monica. His two goals gave him 11 on the season, the most by a Hancock men's soccer player in six years. Garcia came two assists shy of a triple-double in the women's basketball team's season-opening 53-36 win over L.A. Southwest. The sophomore finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists.
Week 9 (10/24-10/30) Alex Cecchi, Football: Cecchi entered last Saturday's game against L.A. Pierce with two carries and four rushing yards. He made the most out of his opportunity against the Brahmas rushing for 133 yards on 14 carries, and scoring three touchdowns. His largest run was a 41-yard gain. The freshman led the Hancock ground attack that finished with 366 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.
Week 8 (10/17-10/23) Bonnie Zuniga, Women's Soccer: Zuniga earned her third athlete of the week honor after helping Hancock win its first conference game in three years. The freshman scored twice in Hancock's 3-2 win over Oxnard. It marked Hancock's first conference win since October 25, 2013, a streak of 22 matches.
Week 6 (10/3-10/9) Shannon Copeland, Women's Water Polo: After helping the women's water polo team to two wins on the same day, freshman Shannon Copeland has earned her first Hancock Athlete of the Week award. Copeland scored a team-high three goals in the team's 10-7 win over San Diego Miramar to open a tournament hosted by Ventura College. Later that day, Copeland scored a season-best six goals in the Bulldogs' 12-4 victory against Cypress. Copeland scored 12 goals in four games during the team's 2-2 run at the two-day tournament. Overall, Copeland leads the team with 37 goals.
Week 5 (9/26-10/2) Bonnie Zuniga, Women's Soccer: Freshman forward Bonnie Zuniga earned her second Hancock Athlete of the Week honor after she scored five goals and had one assist in the women's soccer team's 9-0 win over Cerro Coso. The Pioneer Valley High School graduate scored twice in the first four minutes of the match, and finished her hat-trick within the first 20 minutes. Zuniga added two more goals in the second half. Zuniga leads the Bulldogs with nine goals overall.
Week 4 (9/19-9/25) Matt Albright, Football: Quarterback Matt Albright set career highs with 232 passing yards and four touchdown passes during the football team's 48-17 win over Santa Ana. The Nipomo High School graduate completed 19 of his 24 passes, including touchdown strikes of 32- and 48-yards to Kelvin Marion, 27-yards to Chris Barganier and 19-yards to Ben Rantz. Albright became the first Hancock quarterback since October 2014 to throw for more than 200 yards passing in a game. The sophomore also became the first Hancock signal caller since September 2012 to throw four touchdown passes in one game.
Week 3 (9/12-9/18), Rebecca Gonzalez, Women’s Water Polo: Gonzalez scored four times, including two in a pivotal stretch of the third quarter, to help the Allan Hancock College women’s water polo team open the Riverside City College Invitational with an 11-5 win over Chaffey. The sophomore also had five assists in the victory. Gonzalez was an All-Conference First Team player her freshman season. The Nipomo High School graduate leads the team with 14 goals and six assists.
Week 2 (9/5-9/11), Bonnie Zuniga, Women’s Soccer: The freshman scored two goals to lead the women’s soccer team to a 3-1 victory in its season opener at Cerro Coso. The Pioneer Valley High School graduate found the back of the net in the 14th minute on a ball from Arianna Ruiz to tie the match 1-1. The freshman gave the Bulldogs the lead for good with her second goal in the 59th minute. Tatiana Silva was credited with the assist on the game-winner, and later added an insurance goal herself in the 69th minute.
Week 1 (8/29-9/4), Migel Gomez, Men’s Soccer: The freshman scored two goals and assisted on another, all in the first half, to lead the men’s soccer team to a 3-2 win over College of the Sequoias. The Cabrillo High School graduated helped the Bulldogs score their first win of the season. He had one goal and an assist in the season opening 3-2 loss at Taft.
