Ponce returns to Allan Hancock College to coach goal keepers in the men’s and women’s soccer programs. Ponce played for Hancock in 2012-13 before he transferred to Waldorf University, a NAIA program in Iowa. Ponce earned all-conference honors his senior season at Waldorf when he tied a single-season school record with four shutouts. He holds the Waldorf record for career save percentage (.733). Ponce averaged 8.5 saves per game his senior year at Nipomo High School when he helped the Titans win the program’s first league title. Ponce posted 10 shutouts for Nipomo. Ponce graduated from Hancock's Law Enforcement Training Academy. Currently, he is a police officer with the Santa Maria Police Department.
