Vinnedge begins his fourth season as the head coach of the men’s soccer program at Allan Hancock College, and his first in charge of the women's soccer program. Under his guidance, the men's soccer team has increased its win total every year. Last year, Vinnedge had five players earn All-Conference honors, and sophomore Jorge Guzman earned a spot on the All-Region Team. Two players from his 2015 team, Adrian Diaz and Christian Moreno, signed athletic scholarships with four-year universities.
The Arroyo Grande High graduate was an All-Conference kicker for the Hancock football team in 2004 and 2005. He transferred to the University of Wyoming and served as the team’s punter and kicker for two seasons. He earned All-Mountain West Conference honors for football and academics his senior season. Vinnedge spent one preseason in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers.
Vinnedge arrived at Hancock after he spent six years as the boys’ soccer coach at Nipomo High School, including the last four at the varsity level. He’s guided the Titans to four consecutive C.I.F. playoff appearances and the program’s first-ever Los Padres League title.
Vinnedge earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Wyoming. He works as a launch site support engineer at Vandenberg Air Force Base. He also operates a kicking academy on the Central Coast to train placekickers and punters from throughout the state. Vinnedge lives in Arroyo Grande with his wife, Trina, and daughter, Chloe.
