The Allan Hancock College Men's Soccer team posted its third win of league play after thier 4-3 come-from-behind performance against Moorpark College on Tuesday, October 29. The win gives the Bulldogs sole possession of second place in the Western State-North Division, only one game back from first place Oxnard College. The team now sits at 3-1-1 in league play and 6-9-2 on the season. Moorpark College falls to 1-4 in conference.
Moorpark started the game off quickly with a second minute goal from forward Alec Silva.
Moorpark quickly answered back in the 15th and 23rd minutes off goals from forwards Adrian Ruiz and Jason Bar. The Raiders took a 3-1 lead into halftime.
Moorpark out-shot Hancock in the first half 11-5. The Bulldogs spent most of the first half in their defensive side of the field.
Hancock looked like an entirely different team coming out of the half. The Bulldogs cut the lead to one off forward Bryan Gomez's 48th minute goal off the assist from Glass. Eight minutes later Eduardo Rodriguez scored off a cross from David Lopez to tie the game at 3-3. Hancock took the lead for good when Marino Corona chipped in a shot from around 30 yards out.
The Bulldogs ended the half out-shooting Moorpark 12-2 and finished the game leading in shots 17-13.
Bulldog goalkeeper Maisen Baro earned five saves.
Nikolai Glass created several chances on net as well as scored a goal and earned an assist. His performance was enough to earn him Hancock Player of the Game Honors.
