Masuda joined Allan Hancock College as the public/sports information specialist in November 2013. He is responsible for maintaining communication and information about the athletics department, its athletes, and their many accomplishments. He was named the college’s director of Public Affairs and Communications in January 2017 where he manages the college’s media relations, community relations, marketing and advertising.
Prior to joining the Bulldog family, Masuda was the sports director at KSBY-TV, the NBC affiliate in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. He shot and edited video on a daily basis, as well as wrote and anchored the evening newscasts. He also spent two years as an anchor and reporter at a station in Nebraska. As a television sports director, the most rewarding part of his job was that someone’s best day was also his best day at work. He is excited things will stay the same at AHC.
Masuda was born and raised in the Bay Area. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in communication studies.
